Microsoft has just announced the alpha of PopFly, a drag-and-drop mashup maker, and presumably a competitor to both the Google Maps API and Yahoo Pipes. Only one screenshot so far, but it look intriguing: graphical widgets sitting on top of a map. Requires that you either register or have a Windows Live ID / Microsoft Passport ID. It’s currently a by-invitation alpha only, so you’ll have to sign up for the waitlist to try it out (which I have).
