Some body tell me I'm having a bad dream!

OK! I agree that Garmin MAP60 CSX it's better than his old brothers, but the microsd memory management is just what I see?!
I use a lot tracklog resource and the ideia to keep using just the internal memory to record and CALL IT BACK is unbeliveble!
We can record more maps, but we canot use as memory as we want to record long tracklogs and access it latter...
Internet provide us a lot of tracklogs that people post in travel foruns to help "first time" travelers to enjoy the maximum of the unknown destination, but we canot record it in our GPS and read it latter easly... some files are too big to do that.
Time to time I start looking for new firmwares or thirdparty softawares that help us to use all of memory cards can offer... but I never find a thing...
Some one think like me??? Some one have the solution!?!?

Thanks!

I tried a 1gb kingston card and map upload worked fine. I will return the 2gb and swap it for kingston.

I've heard stories that some (but not all) Ultra cards have an issue; you might try a plain vanilla microSD card. The Garmins don't have the memory bandwidth to take advantage of the faster speed of the Ultras in any case.

I picked up a sandisk 2gb card today but can not upload any maps to it. The error message comes up in mapsource saying your GPS does not support map transfer. Any ideas? Its not an ultra 2 card. I guess I may have to change brands and see if its the card.

You probably can't go wrong with either Kingston or Sandisk. But I suspect other brands would work as well.

The maximum size microSD card the 76CSx can take (or any other Garmin, AFAIK) is 2 GB.

Looks like I didn't need to worry so much, but it's not as though I get an XML server frontend or anything with it; just the ability to add a crudload of maps, points-of-interest, and routes (and suffer the wait while the database updates itself and writes some indexes to the add-in card) to my satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

I'm just not going to get a fish finder or waterways hints in my car, or sidecar apps like notification when a hardware store is within .3 miles or such...and I would have to find the tags for voice samples if I want annotations aloud.
...I'll put up an attribution to this once I get some laughs out of the thing taking it open-mall shopping.
