Google Earth Blog notes that the latest TOS agreement for downloading Google Earth seems to indicate that you can now use the free version of Google Earth for internal business use, where before it was limited to personal and non-commercial uses. For Google Earth Plus, it’s not clear; the updated version of the Google Earth release notes says in the Products/Google Earth Plus section that “This version is for non-commercial use only”.
The release notes for Google Earth Plus also say that it now supports the NMEA interface for GPS units, where before it only supported Garmin and Magellan proprietary interfaces. This means that virtually all GPS units should now work directly with Google Earth Plus; but if you’ve seen my series on “Get Google Earth Plus For Free“, you’ll already be familiar with options for GPS interfacing with Google Earth that are either free, or cheaper than Google Earth Plus but with more capabilities.
